Gestalt Slate is designed to keep practice private and low-friction. This policy reflects the app as it exists today rather than inflating the data story into something it is not.

1. Information stored by the app

Practice needs a working memory.

Gestalt Slate stores the information required to run the studio: cue library state, active set configuration, presets, sessions, review attempts, and preferences such as pace, spoken cues, appearance, and input mode.

2. iCloud and sync

Sync exists to follow the user, not profile them.

When available, iCloud can sync library changes, review history, and settings across supported devices signed into the same Apple account. If iCloud is unavailable, the app falls back to local on-device storage.

3. What the app does not do

No account system and no behavioral advertising.

The current release does not require a user account and does not include third-party advertising, behavioral profiling, or ad-tech tracking.

4. Exports and sharing

Nothing leaves the device unless the user chooses it.

Archives, images, or review files are created only when the user explicitly exports or shares them. Downstream handling depends on the destination the user chooses next.

5. User controls

The studio can stay local if the user wants.

Users can manage what stays in the app by editing the library, clearing local data, exporting the archive, disabling spoken cues, or turning off iCloud access for the app at the system level.
